अनसूयोपदेशः तथा सीताया स्वयंवरकथा
Anasuya’s Counsel and Sita’s Swayamvara Narrative
उपपन्नं मनोज्ञं च वचनं तव मैथिलि।प्रीता चास्म्युचितं किं ते करवाणि ब्रवीहि मे।।2.118.15।।
upapannaṃ manojñaṃ ca vacanaṃ tava maithili |
prītā cāsmy ucitaṃ kiṃ te karavāṇi bravīhi me ||2.118.15||
О Майтхили, твои слова и уместны, и приятны. Я очень довольна; скажи мне, что подобает мне сделать для тебя.
O Sita, I am glad to hear your befitting and pleasing words. Tell me what appropriate thing you desire and I shall give you.
Dharma is framed as ‘ucita’—doing what is appropriate to the relationship and situation, especially in caring for guests and the virtuous.
Anasūyā praises Sītā’s respectful speech and invites her to ask for a suitable boon or assistance.
