tato brahmābhavanmūḍho rajasā copabṛṃhitaḥ | tato'yaṃ tejasā sṛṣṭimamanyata mayā kṛtā
Narrator (within the Purāṇic discourse; specific dialogue-pair not explicit from the single verse)
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Sandhi Resolution Notes:
It portrays how rajas can inflate ego and produce delusion, leading even Brahmā to mistake divine or cosmic process for personal authorship.
Rajas is depicted as the energizing quality that also fuels self-importance, while tejas is the power/splendor through which Brahmā acts—yet the verse warns that power can be misread as sole agency.
It cautions against pride in achievement: capability and success can arise through higher order or divine support, so one should act with humility and discernment rather than self-attribution.
