FAQs

Subāhu rejects both the pursuit of heaven and even the desire for it, prioritizing avoidance of actions said to cause spiritual downfall.

It states that when a deed is taught to result in “patana,” the wise refrain from it—implying ethical discernment guides action more than reward-seeking.

The verse teaches restraint and principled conduct: one should avoid harmful or degrading actions even if they promise attractive outcomes like heavenly reward.
