तन्मे त्वं कारणं भद्रे कथयस्वाविशंकिता । एवं संभाष्यतां भार्यां विरराम द्विजोत्तमः

tanme tvaṃ kāraṇaṃ bhadre kathayasvāviśaṃkitā | evaṃ saṃbhāṣyatāṃ bhāryāṃ virarāma dvijottamaḥ

«Потому, о благословенная, скажи мне причину без колебаний». Так поговорив с женой, превосходный брахман умолк.
