ऋतुलक्षं जपेन्मंत्रं पायसेन ससर्पिषा । जुहुयात्तद्दशांशेन पीठे सोमांतपूजिते ॥ ५६ ॥
ṛtulakṣaṃ japenmaṃtraṃ pāyasena sasarpiṣā | juhuyāttaddaśāṃśena pīṭhe somāṃtapūjite || 56 ||
Следует повторять мантру в джапе (japa) в предписанной мере «сезонного лакха», а затем совершить хому (homa), принося пайасу (рисовый пудинг) с топлёным маслом (гхи). Хома совершается в количестве одной десятой от числа джапы — на освящённом пīтхе/алтаре, почтённом до завершения сомического обряда.
