FAQs

It situates the narrative within a sacred lineage (vamśa), emphasizing continuity of dharma through descendants—an important Purāṇic method for linking teachings to exemplary historical lines.

This verse itself is genealogical and does not directly teach bhakti practices; it provides the narrative framework in which later instructions on dharma and devotion are traditionally embedded.

No specific Vedāṅga topic is taught in this line; it primarily records names and numbers in a lineage account, supporting the Purāṇic discipline of anukramaṇikā-style cataloging and historical narration.
