गङ्गामाहात्म्य — The Greatness of the Gaṅgā

बाध्यमानोऽपि सुजनः सर्वेषां सुखकृद् भवेत् । ददाति परमां तुष्टिं भक्ष्यमाणोऽमरैः शशी ॥ १२४ ॥

bādhyamāno'pi sujanaḥ sarveṣāṃ sukhakṛd bhavet | dadāti paramāṃ tuṣṭiṃ bhakṣyamāṇo'maraiḥ śaśī || 124 ||

Даже будучи притесняем, добрый человек должен оставаться творцом счастья для всех. Подобно луне, которую во время затмения «пожирают» бессмертные, но она всё же дарует высшую радость.
