Mārkaṇḍeya-varṇanam
The Description of Mārkaṇḍeya
श्रीभगवानुवाच । लोके भागवता ये च भगवद्भक्तमानसाः । तेषां तुष्टो न सन्देहो रक्षाम्येतांश्च सर्वदा ॥ ४६ ॥
śrībhagavānuvāca | loke bhāgavatā ye ca bhagavadbhaktamānasāḥ | teṣāṃ tuṣṭo na sandeho rakṣāmyetāṃśca sarvadā || 46 ||
Благословенный Господь сказал: «В мире те, кто — бхагаваты, чьи умы пребывают в бхакти к Господу и также погружены в преданных Господа, — ими Я доволен, без сомнения. Я всегда их оберегаю».
Bhagavan (the Blessed Lord, i.e., Vishnu/Narayana)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It states Bhagavān’s assurance (rakṣā) that those devoted to Him—and especially those who honor and keep their minds with His devotees—receive His constant protection and favor.
It emphasizes bhakti not only as personal worship of the Lord but also as devotion to the Lord’s bhaktas (bhāgavatas), teaching that satsanga and service to devotees is a direct cause of divine grace.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is devotional conduct—seeking holy company and serving devotees as a lived discipline within Bhagavata Dharma.
