The Greatness of Viṣṇu
Viṣṇor Māhātmya
सत्सङ्गस्तुलसीसेवा हरिभक्तिश्च दुर्लभा ॥ ५४ ॥
satsaṅgastulasīsevā haribhaktiśca durlabhā || 54 ||
Сатсанга, служение Туласи и бхакти к Господу Хари — всё это трудно и редко обретается.
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in dialogue)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It declares that three supports of spiritual life—saintly association, devotionally serving Tulasī, and unwavering Hari-bhakti—are not ordinary achievements but rare blessings that arise through divine grace and past merit.
It highlights practical bhakti-sādhana: keep satsaṅga to shape one’s mind and conduct, honor Tulasī as dear to Vishnu, and thereby nourish steady devotion to Hari as the core means toward purification and liberation.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Śikṣā) is taught directly; the verse instead emphasizes devotional discipline and sacred practice (seva/upāsanā) as the applied method for cultivating bhakti.
