Vāmana’s Advent, Aditi’s Hymn, Bali’s Gift, and the Mahatmya of Bhū-dāna
smṛto'pi parayā bhaktyā punāti puruṣottamaḥ | yena kenāpyarcitaśveddadāti paramāṃ gatim || 99 ||
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It declares that Puruṣottama’s grace is accessible through pure remembrance and simple worship, emphasizing purification and the attainment of the highest goal (paramā gati).
Bhakti is shown as sufficient in itself: sincere smaraṇa (remembering) purifies, and any form of arcana (worship) offered with devotion leads to the supreme destination.
No specific Vedanga technique is taught; the practical takeaway is devotional practice (smaraṇa and arcana) without dependence on complex ritual precision.
