Jyotiṣa-saṅgraha: Varga-vibhāga, Bala-nirṇaya, Garbha-phala, Āyuḥ-gaṇanā

Sage Nārada (teaching technical graha-yogas within the Purāṇic Vedāṅga context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka (fear)
Secondary Rasa: shanta (peace)
It frames Jyotiṣa as a Vedāṅga tool for recognizing karmic adversity (pāpa-graha affliction) so that one may respond with dharmic restraint, prayer, and remedial discipline rather than fatalism.
Though technical, the implication is that when harsh karmic indicators arise, one should take refuge in devotion and righteous conduct—using knowledge to intensify surrender and ethical living, not fear.
Jyotiṣa: assessing malefic influence from both Lagna and Chandra, reading the 4th house affliction, and noting Mars in the 8th (nidhanasthāna) with Moon/Sun involvement as a classical death-indication yoga affecting relatives/spouse.
