Jyotiṣa-saṅgraha: Varga-vibhāga, Bala-nirṇaya, Garbha-phala, Āyuḥ-gaṇanā
विशन्यापदशायां यो वैरिदृष्टो विपत्तिकृत् । शुभमत्रेक्षितश्चेष्टसद्वर्गस्थश्च यो ग्रहः ॥ १४५ ॥
viśanyāpadaśāyāṃ yo vairidṛṣṭo vipattikṛt | śubhamatrekṣitaśceṣṭasadvargasthaśca yo grahaḥ || 145 ||
В неблагой или бедственной даше планета, поражённая аспектом врага, становится причиной несчастья. Но та же планета, получая благотворные аспекты и будучи хорошо расположенной в благих делениях (ṣaḍvarga), становится дарующей добрые плоды.
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in a Vedanga/astrology context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It teaches discernment: results are not fixed merely by a planet’s name; outcomes depend on conditions (daśā, aspects, and strength), reflecting karma’s nuanced fruition and encouraging wise, dharmic choices.
Indirectly, it supports Bhakti by showing that worldly ups and downs arise from karmic timing; devotion helps one remain steady and righteous regardless of favorable or adverse periods.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa: judgment of planetary results through daśā (periods), dṛṣṭi (aspects—especially from enemies), and ṣaḍvarga (divisional strength) to determine whether a planet yields harm or benefit.
