सेष्वशोनाः सितं तिथ्यो बलन्नाशोन्नतं विधोः । श्रृङ्गमन्यत्र उद्वाच्यं बलनांगुललेखनात् ॥ १६९ ॥
seṣvaśonāḥ sitaṃ tithyo balannāśonnataṃ vidhoḥ | śrṛṅgamanyatra udvācyaṃ balanāṃgulalekhanāt || 169 ||
В остальные дни лунные доли следует понимать как «белые, светлые» согласно титхи; возрастание и убывание Луны выводят из её восхода и нисхождения. Направление же «рога» (кончика серпа) излагается в другом месте иначе — по отметке, сделанной пальцами, то есть по практическому измерению и наблюдению.
