अनार्य क्षार्यमासीन पर्युपासन्न तत्र ह । आश्रमस्थान् विधर्मस्था: प्राद्धिषन्त परस्परम्
anāryāḥ kṣāryam āsīnaṃ paryupāsan tatra ha | āśramasthān vidharmasthāḥ prādviṣanta parasparam ||
Там невоспитанные (anārya) не подходят служить благородному (ārya), сидящему перед ними. Те, кто отпал от дхармы, даже живя в ашрамах, питают вражду — к великодушным подвижникам и даже друг к другу.
शक्र उवाच
Outer setting (even an āśrama) does not guarantee inner dharma. True nobility is shown by respectful service and absence of malice; adharma reveals itself through refusal to honor the worthy and through mutual hatred.
Śakra describes a scene where ignoble beings fail to attend respectfully upon a noble Kṣatriya and, though living in hermitage settings, act contrary to dharma—harboring enmity toward ascetics and toward each other.
