Adhyāya 32: Tāpasānāṃ Darśanaṃ — Ascetics Seek to Identify the Pāṇḍavas
गतेषु तेषु सर्वेषु सलिलस्थो महामुनि:
vaiśampāyana uvāca | gateṣu teṣu sarveṣu salilastho mahāmuniḥ |
Вайшампаяна сказал: Когда все они скрылись из виду, великий мудрец—стоя в воде—ради блага Кауравов обратился к тем кшатрийским женщинам, ставшим вдовами. Он сказал: «О благородные дамы! Кто из вас верна и желает достичь мира своего супруга, пусть отбросит леность и тотчас погрузится в воды Ганги». Услышав эти слова, те преданные и целомудренные женщины—испрося дозволения у своего свёкра Дхритараштры—вошли в воды Ганги.
