गोमूल्यनिर्णयः — The Determination of Value through the Cow

आर्यरूपसमाचारं चरन्तं कृतके पथि । सुवर्णमन्यवर्ण वा स्वशीलं शास्ति निश्चये
āryarūpasamācāraṃ carantaṃ kṛtake pathi | suvarṇam anyavarṇaṃ vā svaśīlaṃ śāsti niścaye ||
Бхишма сказал: Когда человек, опираясь на искусственный путь, подражает поведению и благопристойности благородных, можно усомниться: золото ли он истинное или лишь стекло — чистого ли рода или смешанного. Но при решении такого сомнения всё раскрывает его собственный характер: устоявшийся нрав и постоянство поступков.
