Shloka 5

यदल्ला कुरुते पापमिन्द्रियैः पुरुषश्चरन्‌ बुद्धिपूर्वमबुद्धिववा रात्रौ यच्चापि संध्ययो:

bhīṣma uvāca | yadallā kurute pāpam indriyaiḥ puruṣaś caran buddhipūrvam abuddhivā rātrau yac cāpi sandhyayoḥ |

Бхишма сказал: «Какой бы грех ни совершал человек посредством чувств, странствуя по миру — преднамеренно и с обдумыванием или по неведению и без рассуждения, — ночью ли, либо в сумеречные стыки (сандхьи), — всё это смывается предписанным священным чтением; так он пребывает постоянно очищенным и обращённым к благу».
