Brahmapūjā-kāraṇa-prśnaḥ and Keśava–Viṣvaksena-stuti

दीनश्न याचते चायमल्पेनापि हि तुष्यति । इति दद्याद् दरिद्राय कारुण्यादिति सर्वथा
dīnaś ca yācate cāyam alpenāpi hi tuṣyati | iti dadyād daridrāya kāruṇyād iti sarvathā ||
Бхишма учит: когда приходит нищий, бедный и страждущий, следует дать из сострадания, думая: «Этот несчастный в великой нужде и просит меня; даже малое его удовлетворит». Так милостыня обездоленному должна исходить во всём из милосердия, а не из гордыни и не из расчёта.
