Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय

वैश्यः पञ्चदशाहेन शूद्रो मासेन शुध्यति इति संक्षेपतः प्रोक्ता द्रव्यशुद्धिरनुत्तमा

vaiśyaḥ pañcadaśāhena śūdro māsena śudhyati iti saṃkṣepataḥ proktā dravyaśuddhiranuttamā

Вайшья очищается за пятнадцать дней, а шудра очищается за один месяц. Так, вкратце, провозглашено непревзойдённое правило очищения веществ (dravya-śuddhi).
