मधुमांसैर्मूलफलैर् वर्तयन्ति सुदुःखिताः चीरपत्राजिनधरा निष्क्रिया निष्परिग्रहाः
madhumāṃsairmūlaphalair vartayanti suduḥkhitāḥ cīrapatrājinadharā niṣkriyā niṣparigrahāḥ
Тяжко страдая, они поддерживают жизнь мёдом, мясом, кореньями и плодами. Облачённые в кору, листья и оленью шкуру, они пребывают без мирской деятельности и без имущества — совершая тапас, чтобы ослабить узы (pāśa) пашу и обратиться к Владыке (Pati), Шиве.
