Lord Agni (in instruction to the sage Vasiṣṭha, as per the common Agni Purana dialogue frame)
Primary Rasa: śānta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Sandhi Resolution Notes: पाठापथ्यावचाशिग्रुसिन्धूव्योषैः is a multi-member dvandva in instrumental plural; अजाक्षीराढके = अजा + क्षीर + आढके (अ + आ → आ); सर्वग्रहान् = सर्व + ग्रहान्.
It gives an Ayurvedic grahachikitsa formulation: medicated ghee cooked in goat’s milk with specific drugs (pāṭhā, harītakī, vacā, śigru, saindhava, and tryūṣa) to counter graha-type seizure/affliction conditions.
Alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purana preserves practical healthcare content—here, a precise pharmacological recipe (ghṛta preparation, ingredients, measure) situated within Bhūta-vidyā/grahacikitsā.
By presenting graha-afflictions as removable through sanctioned remedies, the text links bodily/mental disturbance with purificatory correction—restoring health and ritual fitness, which supports dharmic living.
