Ayurvedic pathya (dietary therapeutics): restorative drinks and meat-broth for kṣata–kṣaya conditions, and mudga-odana fortified with vyoṣa to stimulate appetite in aruci.
It shows the text functioning beyond mythic narration by preserving applied medical guidance—specific foods, formulations, and indications—typical of Ayurveda integrated into a Purana’s knowledge compendium.
By prescribing sāttvika, recovery-oriented diet and disciplined regimen, the verse supports bodily purification and steadiness of mind—seen in Purāṇic ethics as enabling dharma-practice through health and self-regulation.
