Related Themes: Agni Purana 24 (homa sequence continuing into darbha/ladles); Agni Purana homa/vrata procedural chapters (general)
It gives a practical homa step: after completing the setup, kindle/place the sacred fire while mentally invoking Hari, then place span-length samidhā (fuel sticks) and neatly arrange/enclose the fire area.
Beyond theology, it preserves operational ritual minutiae—measurements (prādeśa), materials (samidhā), sequencing, and mental invocation—showing the text’s manual-like coverage of worship technique alongside broader doctrine.
Remembering Hari while establishing Agni integrates devotion with sacrificial action, framing the offering as consecrated worship and thus as a purifier that supports merit (puṇya) and ritual efficacy.
