The Sovereignty Vow and the Cycle of Tithi-Based Observances
पूर्वं पश्चाद्यथेष्टं तु एवं संवत्सरं नृप । यः करोति नरो नित्यं तस्य दिग्विजयो भवेत् ॥ ६५.५ ॥
pūrvaṃ paścād yatheṣṭaṃ tu evaṃ saṃvatsaraṃ nṛpa | yaḥ karoti naro nityaṃ tasya digvijayo bhavet || 65.5 ||
Ó rei, aquele que o pratica continuamente durante um ano deste modo—indo primeiro ao oriente e depois ao ocidente, como desejar—terá a conquista das direções (digvijaya), isto é, êxito em todos os rumos.
