Aśauca

प्रेतस्यावाहनं कृत्वा शुचिर्भूत्वा समाहितः ॥ पक्वान्नं भोजयेत्तत्र प्रेतभागं यथाविधि ॥

pretasyāvāhanaṃ kṛtvā śucirbhūtvā samāhitaḥ || pakvānnaṃ bhojayet tatra pretabhāgaṃ yathāvidhi ||

Tendo feito a invocação do falecido (preta), tornando-se puro e recolhido, deve-se ali oferecer alimento cozido, destinando a porção devida ao preta, conforme a regra.
