The Glory of the Mathurā Sacred Landscape: Saṃyamana Tīrtha and the Twelve Sacred Forests

पालयामास वसुधां क्षत्रधर्मं समाश्रितः ॥ तेनोढा काशिराजस्य पीवरी नामतः शुभा ॥

pālayāmāsa vasudhāṁ kṣatra-dharmaṁ samāśritaḥ || tenoḍhā kāśi-rājasya pīvarī nāmataḥ śubhā ||
