Kurukshetra, Pṛthūdaka Tīrtha, and the Marriage of Saṃvaraṇa with Tapatī
स एव पुत्रि नृपतेस्तनूजो दृष्टः पुरा कामयसे यमद्य स एव चायाति ममाश्रमं वै ऋक्षात्मजः संवरणो हि नाम्ना
sa eva putri nṛpatestanūjo dṛṣṭaḥ purā kāmayase yamadya sa eva cāyāti mamāśramaṃ vai ṛkṣātmajaḥ saṃvaraṇo hi nāmnā
Ó filha, aquele mesmo filho do rei que viste outrora—aquele que agora desejas—ele próprio está vindo, de fato, ao meu eremitério. É filho de Ṛkṣa, chamado Saṃvaraṇa.

The verse frames desire as something to be aligned with rightful relationship and social order: the beloved is identified, named, and situated within lineage—turning emotion into a dharmically structured bond.
Vamśānucarita: it explicitly names a royal figure (Saṃvaraṇa) and his ancestry (son of Ṛkṣa), typical of Purāṇic dynastic cataloguing and narrative elaboration.
Naming (saṃvaraṇo hi nāmnā) is a Purāṇic device of making destiny concrete: the ‘desired one’ becomes a person embedded in dharma (lineage), not a mere object of longing.
