तदेजति तन्नैजति तद्दूरे तद्वन्तिके । तदन्तरस्य सर्वस्य तदु सर्वस्यास्य बाह्यतः ॥५॥

IAST Transliteration

tad ejati tan naijati tad dūre tad v antike | tad antar asya sarvasya tad u sarvasyāsya bāhyataḥ ||5||

Translation

Ele se move e não se move; está longe e está perto. Está dentro de tudo isto, e também está fora de tudo isto.

Academic Translation

It moves; It moves not. It is far; and It is near. It is within all this; and It is also outside all this.

Verse Context

• Brahman as immanent and transcendent; non-duality beyond opposites (dvandva-atīta)
• Mahavakya: Resonates with ‘ahaṃ brahmāsmi’ and ‘tat tvam asi’ by implying the Absolute is both ‘within’ (as Self) and ‘beyond’ (not limited to body-mind); also supports ‘ayam ātmā brahma’ (Māṇḍūkya) through the ‘within all’ assertion.
