यक्ष उवाच । वरं प्रयच्छसि यदि विप्रवर्य मदीप्सितम् । ममांगमतिदुर्गंधि शापाच्च नृपतेरभूत् । सुगन्धयितुं ब्रह्मर्षे तत्प्रसीद मुनीश्वर
yakṣa uvāca | varaṃ prayacchasi yadi vipravarya madīpsitam | mamāṃgamatidurgaṃdhi śāpācca nṛpaterabhūt | sugandhayituṃ brahmarṣe tatprasīda munīśvara
O Yakṣa disse: «Se vais conceder uma dádiva, ó melhor dos brāhmaṇas, concede-me o que desejo. Meu corpo tornou-se extremamente fétido por causa da maldição de um rei. Ó brahmarṣi, sê gracioso, ó senhor dos sábios: torna-me fragrante.»
