शास्त्रोक्तं मन्त्रसंयुक्तं होतव्यं पायसं ततः । ततः खड्गं तु संस्नाप्य पंचामृतरसेन वै । पूजयेद्विविधैः पुष्पैर्मंत्रपूर्वं द्विजोत्तमैः
śāstroktaṃ mantrasaṃyuktaṃ hotavyaṃ pāyasaṃ tataḥ | tataḥ khaḍgaṃ tu saṃsnāpya paṃcāmṛtarasena vai | pūjayedvividhaiḥ puṣpairmaṃtrapūrvaṃ dvijottamaiḥ
Então, conforme ensina a śāstra e acompanhado de mantras, deve-se oferecer pāyasa ao fogo. Depois, tendo banhado a espada com a essência do pañcāmṛta, o melhor dos duas-vezes-nascidos deve venerá-la com flores variadas, precedido pela recitação de mantras.
