Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Śiva recalls to Devī her wondrous, arduous tapas and the consequent re-attainment of him as husband; the moment is intimate yet cosmic, emphasizing the sanctity of her name ‘Pārvatī’.
Steadfast tapas joined with devotion bears fruit; divine union symbolizes the harmony of discipline (tapas) and grace.
Prabhāsakṣetra is the sacred setting where Devī’s tapas and names are recounted to magnify the site’s holiness.
Tapas (austerity) is praised in principle, but no specific vow, fast, or pilgrimage procedure is stated in this verse.
