यस्मादर्घ्यं पुरा दत्त्वा पश्चा दीशः प्रतिष्ठितः । तेनार्घ्येशेति विख्यातं लिंगं पापप्रणाशनम्

Transliteration

yasmādarghyaṃ purā dattvā paścā dīśaḥ pratiṣṭhitaḥ | tenārghyeśeti vikhyātaṃ liṃgaṃ pāpapraṇāśanam

Translation

Porque outrora se ofereceu primeiro o arghya (água de oferenda) e só depois o Senhor foi instalado, por isso o liṅga tornou-se célebre como Arghyeśa, destruidor dos pecados.
