ईश्वर उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि सूर्यप्राचीं महाप्रभाम् । सर्वपापोपशमनीं सर्वकामफलप्रदाम्
īśvara uvāca | tato gacchenmahādevi sūryaprācīṃ mahāprabhām | sarvapāpopaśamanīṃ sarvakāmaphalapradām
Īśvara disse: Então, ó Grande Deusa, deve-se ir a Sūryaprācī, radiante de grande esplendor—ela que apazigua todos os pecados e concede o fruto de todo desejo justo.

Pilgrimage to a revealed tīrtha is portrayed as a dharmic path for purification and the fulfilment of legitimate aims of life.
