नंदो राजा पुरा ह्यासीत्सर्वलोकसुखप्रदः । न दुर्भिक्षं न च व्याधि नाकाले मरणं नृणाम्

Transliteration

naṃdo rājā purā hyāsītsarvalokasukhapradaḥ | na durbhikṣaṃ na ca vyādhi nākāle maraṇaṃ nṛṇām

Translation

“Em tempos antigos reinou o rei Nanda, doador de felicidade a todos os povos. Não havia fome nem doença, nem morte antes do tempo entre os homens.”
