Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī / Umā
Scene: A teaching scene: Śiva explains gradations of liberation—sārūpya and sālokya for absorbed minds—while noting that Pāśupata-yoga, being at odds with smṛti-conduct, is censured and not a means to sāyujya.
Not all spiritual disciplines culminate in the same liberation; orthodox conduct and inner absorption determine the highest result.
Prabhāsakṣetra, where nuanced teachings on types of mukti and proper conduct are embedded within the kṣetra-māhātmya.
An evaluative rule: practices should align with smṛti-ācāra; Pāśupata discipline is acknowledged but not presented as granting sāyujya.
