ईश्वर उवाच । तं तथेति प्रतिज्ञाय गतस्तत्र द्विजोत्तमः । यथा वेदोक्तमार्गेंण सर्वं कृत्यं चकार सः
īśvara uvāca | taṃ tatheti pratijñāya gatastatra dvijottamaḥ | yathā vedoktamārgeṃṇa sarvaṃ kṛtyaṃ cakāra saḥ
Disse o Senhor: “Concordando: ‘Assim seja’, e tendo feito tal promessa, o melhor entre os duas-vezes-nascidos foi até lá; e, seguindo o caminho prescrito pelos Vedas, realizou todos os ritos que deviam ser cumpridos.”
