ईश्वर उवाच । तस्यैव पश्चिमे भागे नातिदूरे व्यवस्थितम् । चण्डिका कर्ममोटी च योगिनी कोटिसंयुता । पीठत्रयं महादेवि आद्यं त्रैलोक्यवन्दितम्
īśvara uvāca | tasyaiva paścime bhāge nātidūre vyavasthitam | caṇḍikā karmamoṭī ca yoginī koṭisaṃyutā | pīṭhatrayaṃ mahādevi ādyaṃ trailokyavanditam
Disse Īśvara: Na parte ocidental desse lugar, não muito longe, encontra-se um pīṭha sagrado—Caṇḍikā e Karmamoṭī, juntamente com uma Yoginī assistida por crores de poderes. Ó Mahādevī, é uma tríade de pīṭhas, cujo primeiro é venerado nos três mundos.
