ब्रह्मणा यष्टुकामेन सावित्री सहधर्मिणी । कृता तां बलतो ज्ञात्वा गायत्रीं कोपमाविशत्

brahmaṇā yaṣṭukāmena sāvitrī sahadharmiṇī | kṛtā tāṃ balato jñātvā gāyatrīṃ kopamāviśat

Quando Brahmā, desejoso de realizar um sacrifício, tomou Sāvitrī como consorte legítima, Gāyatrī—sabendo que isso fora feito à força—foi tomada pela ira.
