त्वया सूत महा बुद्धे भगवान्ब्रह्मवित्तमः । इतिहासपुराणार्थे व्यासः सम्यगुपासितः

tvayā sūta mahā buddhe bhagavānbrahmavittamaḥ | itihāsapurāṇārthe vyāsaḥ samyagupāsitaḥ

Ó Sūta de grande entendimento, o Bem-aventurado Vyāsa—supremo conhecedor de Brahman—foi por ti devidamente servido no sentido dos Itihāsa e dos Purāṇa.
