Type: kshetra
Listener: Ṛṣis
Scene: Rukmiṇī speaks in reflective sorrow, offering a philosophical analogy: a small well and the vast ocean both yield only as much water as the measure permits—hinting at the limits of worldly appraisal of sacred speech.
Worldly evaluation is limited by ‘measure’; true value (especially of dharma and devotion) exceeds ordinary standards.
The verse occurs within Dvārakā Māhātmya, aligning the teaching with Dvārakā’s sacred narrative frame.
No ritual is prescribed; it is a moral-philosophical reflection within the story.
