पुत्रहीनश्च यो मर्त्यो नारी वापि समाहिता । तन्मनाः पिंडदानं वै तथा स्नानं करिष्यति । अपुत्रो लभते शीघ्रं सुपुत्रं नात्र संशयः
putrahīnaśca yo martyo nārī vāpi samāhitā | tanmanāḥ piṃḍadānaṃ vai tathā snānaṃ kariṣyati | aputro labhate śīghraṃ suputraṃ nātra saṃśayaḥ
Qualquer homem sem filho—ou também uma mulher serena—que, com a mente firme, faça aqui a oferenda de piṇḍa e o banho: quem não tem filhos obterá depressa um filho virtuoso; disso não há dúvida.
