Type: kshetra
Scene: The Blessed Lord speaks with calm certainty, describing a supremely holy kṣetra; ascetics and pilgrims appear in the background as witnesses to its fame.
A true tīrtha is validated by saintly praise and yields pāpa-kṣaya (destruction of sin) and puṇya (spiritual merit) to pilgrims.
The Lord refers to “that kṣetra” under discussion in Adhyāya 73; the exact toponym is supplied in the surrounding narrative of the chapter.
No single rite is named; the verse endorses tīrtha-yātrā (pilgrimage) as a sin-destroying dharmic practice.
