व्याघ्र उवाच । स्वागतं तव कल्याणि सुधेनो सत्यवादिनि । न हि सत्यवतां किंचिदशुभं विद्यते क्वचित्
vyāghra uvāca | svāgataṃ tava kalyāṇi sudheno satyavādini | na hi satyavatāṃ kiṃcidaśubhaṃ vidyate kvacit
O tigre disse: «Sê bem-vinda, ó senhora auspiciosa—ó Sudhenū, que falas a verdade. Pois para os verídicos, nada de infausto jamais surge em parte alguma.»
