Scene: Triśaṅku, regal and resolute, petitions Vasiṣṭha in an āśrama for a special yajña; sacrificial altar, kuśa grass, and fire implements are visible, with a sense of looming controversy.
Desire for extraordinary spiritual attainment must still align with dharma and the counsel of realized sages.
The verse is narrative within Tīrthamāhātmya; it does not name a tirtha but frames the episode that supports the chapter’s sacred-geography teaching.
A yajña is requested as the means for attaining svarga; details of the rite are not given in this verse.
