Type: kshetra
Listener: Śiva (Devēśa)
Scene: Pārvatī, seated in composed meditation posture, addresses Śiva with folded hands, requesting the ascent from meditation to liberating knowledge and the boon of deathlessness.
Meditation is presented as a foundation that ripens into liberating knowledge, culminating in ‘deathlessness’ (mokṣa).
This verse is dialogic and doctrinal; the chapter sits within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra māhātmya stream but does not name a new site.
The prescription is yogic: pursue dhyāna-yoga leading into jñāna-yoga.
