Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 14
तावत्तपांसि गर्जंति देहेऽस्मिन्सततं नृणाम् । यदा विष्णुं स्मरेन्नित्यं जिह्वाग्रं पावनं भवेत्
tāvattapāṃsi garjaṃti dehe'sminsatataṃ nṛṇām | yadā viṣṇuṃ smarennityaṃ jihvāgraṃ pāvanaṃ bhavet
Enquanto as austeridades “rugem” continuamente neste corpo humano. Mas quando alguém se lembra sempre de Viṣṇu, até a ponta da língua se torna purificadora, apta à fala sagrada.
