Transliteration

vedoktena vidhānena tāṃ kanyāṃ samayojayat | pāṇigraheṇa vidhinā dvijātigaṇasaṃvṛtaḥ

Translation

Segundo o preceito ensinado pelos Vedas, ele uniu aquela donzela em matrimónio. Cercado por multidões dos duas-vezes-nascidos, o rito se completou pelo devido pāṇigraha, a tomada da mão da noiva.
