तस्मिन्पंगुत्वमापन्ने दैत्ये परमदारुणे । कस्यचित्त्वथ कालस्य देवराजो बृहस्पतिम् । प्रोवाच दुःखसंतप्त आषाढांते सुरो त्तमः
tasminpaṃgutvamāpanne daitye paramadāruṇe | kasyacittvatha kālasya devarājo bṛhaspatim | provāca duḥkhasaṃtapta āṣāḍhāṃte suro ttamaḥ
«Quando aquele daitya, terrível em extremo, caiu na condição de coxo, passado algum tempo o rei dos deuses—aflito de tristeza—falou a Bṛhaspati no fim de Āṣāḍha.»
