Type: kshetra
Listener: Rājā Ānarta (mahārāja)
Scene: The sage begins his reply: calm, authoritative posture; behind him, a symbolic wheel of time (tithi phases) and faint ancestral figures indicating ‘tṛpti’ and ‘tuṣṭi’.
Śrāddha bears fruit when performed at proper times that please the Pitṛs, emphasizing intentionality in ritual dharma.
The discourse is situated in the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra narrative context, though the verse itself praises auspicious times.
Śrāddha should be performed at times recognized as pleasing to the Pitṛgaṇas.
