श्रीभगवानुवाच । एष गौर्या पुरा कृत्वा निजांगोद्वर्तनं कृतः । निर्मलेन कृतः पश्चान्नराकारश्चतुर्भुजः
śrībhagavānuvāca | eṣa gauryā purā kṛtvā nijāṃgodvartanaṃ kṛtaḥ | nirmalena kṛtaḥ paścānnarākāraścaturbhujaḥ
O Senhor Bem-aventurado disse: «Outrora, a Deusa Gaurī, após preparar a pasta do atrito de seus próprios membros, moldou-o. Depois, dessa substância pura, ele foi formado—de aspecto humano e de quatro braços.»
